Employment Opportunities

Don't just find a job, find a CAREER

Being a family owned company means that you're not just a number. You're not just an employee or someone who does a job and punches out at the end of the day, you're an individual. An individual that deserves to work WITH a group of people, not FOR them. Do yourself a favor, look at the jobs listed below and see how you can fit into our organization.

Alignment Openings:

  • Alignment Technician (Multiple Locations)

Must have +10 years of sawmill experience. Must be willing to travel +3 weeks out of the month.

  • Alignment Apprentice

The only 2 things we ask of our apprentices are this: 1. Be mechanically inclined. 2. Be willing to travel +3 weeks out of the month.

We are willing to train you to become an alignment technician and apart from the 2 requirements, we really don't ask for a whole lot more.

How we do things

Our Mission

Our company is growing as fast as we can keep up. Through this growth, we are ALWAYS looking for talented, level headed and competent people. We are selective on WHO we hire, but not for the normal reasons. We want the people we hire to represent this company and themselves with professionalism and pride. So we don't look for a degree, we don't look for any 1 specific skill, and we don't put much stock into traditional certifications. What we do look for is work ethic, teachability and an inherent mechanical ability. That's it. If you have those things, you may just be who we're looking for. So, if you're interested in being part of our team, we have built a training plan and a path for your success. We will literally PAY you to go through our training program. At the end of it, you could be earning upwards toward 6 figures a year.

Training Program

All of our alignment positions are traveling positions. Your job will consist of traveling to a sawmill, often in a different state, and performing an alignment. So there will be a lot of travel. The current traveling schedule is that you work 6 weekends and be off on 1 weekend. We're working toward a 3 weekends on 1 weekend off schedule, but with the current demand, we have to slowly work toward that.

Our entire hiring process starts with a single, on the job interview. You'll go on an average weekend job with a trainer and you'll shadow them for the weekend. We use this experience to see what your knowledge and skills are in a real world scenario. After that weekend, the trainer will determine if you're a good fit (and you'll know what the job is like) and offer you the job officially and assign your "service level" (where you start out on the training plan). Then the real fun begins. We tie your pay scale to where you are in the training program so that we can incentivize performance. In a nutshell, the more you know, the more you'll make. With that said, we have 5 tiers in our training plan with a pay raise with every "promotion."

Service Level (SL) Tiers:
SL1 - $10/hr on the mill site. $30,000 salary
SL2 - $13/hr on the mill site. $40,000 salary
SL3 - $15/hr on the mill site. $46,000 salary
SL4 - $20/hr on the mill site. $50,000 salary
SL5 - $25/hr on the mill site. $50,000 salary

Every tier has a timeframe. Meaning, you can only stay an SL1 for so long. However, you can climb the tiers as fast as you want. It's all based on your work ethic and your knowledge.

Perks & Benefits

All of our traveling positions pay $45 per day in per diem and  As you climb the tiers, you'll get better perks.
